THE WPT Venice 2011 is being dominated by Scotsman David Vamplew with just eight players left in the Main Event.
The 23-year-old from Edinburgh, who won the £900,000 EPT London last year, is a huge chip leader heading into the final day with a stack of 4.1million.
His nearest challenger, Italian Alessio Isaia, is more than a million chips behind with 2.91million.

Vamplew rivered a straight towards the end of the day which saw him nearly double his stack - and put him in a commanding position as the surviving players prepare to do battle today.
Late last night Vamplew Tweeted: "Really tired just want the day to end tbh, pretty good for me if the TV table bubble lasts ages tho."
Michal Polchlopek was the first player eliminated yesterday when Vamplew’s pair of nines took down his pocket five’s. He was followed by Giuseppe Cucchiara when the Italian lost a flip to the pocket queens of Emmanuel Rodrigues.
John Tabatabai, Riccardo Mazzitelli, Alessandro Speranza, Joakim Jagerving, Christian Fabri and Nicolas Cardyn were eliminated, leaving just 10.
The small stacks then got final table nerves - and all of the action was going through Vamplew, Lykov, Isaia, Rodrigues and Mayer who were after the number one spot.
Eventually it was Mayer who knocked Andrea Ferrari, and we were down to one table of nine.
At 1am the director of the PartyPoker sponsored tourney confirmed there would be a final four hands before the day ended. And in the very last hand of the night Max Lykov raised, Paolo Della Penna moved all-in and Lykov called.
It was another coin flip between Lykov’s pair of sixes and Della Penna’s ace-queen. The sixes held - and Della Penna was out, and off for a sleepless night.
