Doyle Brunson

Doyle Brunson is the poker world's biggest living legend.

Dolly has been a top pro for more than half-a-century, has won 10 World Series of Poker Bracelets, has been World Champion twice, written several poker 'bibles' including the epic Super System and boasts career winnings of nearly $6,000,000. More recently he's launched his own Poker site - Doyle's Room.  

Yep, he's certainly lived. But others haven't been so lucky.

Three people died while playing poker with him. One was shot in the head, one from drugs/booze and one from the shock of losing a massive pot to Texas Dolly.

Brunson's sense of humour is also legendary...for being appalling. He does a mean line in blonde jokes and is never short of a bad one-liner or two.

He's a one-off alright. But we love him...and will continue to until he finally shuffles off.

Not that death is imminent for Dolly. In fact some people think he may outlive Moses.

As he says: "That's poker folks...you don't stop playing because you get old, you get old because you stop playing."
