UltimateBet launches it's fifth Online Championship - UBOC5 - later this month.
But new players, or those struggling with their bankroll, needn't dispair - UB has also announced a scaled-down 'Mini' championship so small stakes players can enjoy the fun.
The Mini-UBOC line-up features 20 events and a guaranteed overall prize pool in excess of $280,000, including a $50K GTD Mini-UBOC Championship event.
The idea is that the events mirror all of the main UBOC tournaments, but at a fraction of the cost to buy-in.
The Mini-UBOC tournament series gets underway on August 18th and runs for 11 days. Each tournament will run concurrently with a full UBOC5 event.
In typical UB style, each of the smaller stakes events will be hosted by poker room VIP or MVP - ensuring there's plenty of banter amid the action. Who knows, maybe even UB pro Phil Hellmuth will turn up for a hand or two!
It all kicks off with a $30+3 buy-in, $20K guaranteed, Sniper NLH event hosted by SPIN31. That will be followed a few days later with a Deepstack NLH 6-Max $25+2.50 buy-in, $20K GTD, tourney on Sunday, August 22nd at 4pm ET hosted by GOGATORS86.
There's even a Main Event: The NLH $50+5 buy-in $50K GTD will run concurrently with the UBOC Championship Main Event on August 29th.
As well as the money - and the bragging rights - the Mini-UBOC Main Event and Leaderboard champions will get a limited edition 2010 UBOC Championship wrist watches.
Interested players should head to the 'satellites' tab in the UB tournament lobby for the full UBOC satellite schedule.
