Poker lunatic Tony G is a direct descendant of Vlad the Impaler - better known as the vampire Dracula.
The 36-year-old Australian - now known only by his nickname - is actually called Antanas Guoga and was born in Kaunas, Lithuania.
And after researching his family history, the super-aggressive player has discovered a direct line to merciless Vlad, who ruled Wallachia, next to Transylvania - part of modern day Romania - between 1456 and 1462.
Vlad is believed to have inspired the character of Count Dracula, the vampire in Bram Stoker's 1897 novel.
Tony G explains: "My enquiries have found that I could well be a distant relative of Vlad the Impaler.
"Can’t you see the similarity? He impales and I impale too. The difference is he may have devoured necks and I bite heads off clean."
Writing in his entertaining PartyPoker Blog, Tony G, who has won more than $3m at the poker table, goes on to suggest that he has become gripped by genealogy.
He even jokes that Tom ''Durrr" Dwan might be related to Pee Wee Herman and that his dog Zasko is related to US President John F Kennedy’s faithful hound Clipper.
He's barking, clearly...but what can you expect from a filthy bloodsucker?![]()
