Jimmie Guinther leads the hunt for the $725,000 NAPT Los Angeles

American Jimmie Guinther leads the hunt for the $725,000 first prize heading into Day 3 of the North American Poker Tour event in Los Angeles.

Day Two began with 314 players and after seven levels of play, just 81 remain - and all will get paid.

Guinther, who wore a distinctive orange sweater throughout play, is ahead with 894,000 in chips, followed by fellow American Travis Pearson who finished the day with 835,000.

The pair are well clear of the man in third, Canadian pro Anh Van Nguyen who has 614,000 in chips.

All remaining players are guaranteed a minimum payout of $8,500 after the bubble burst just 10 minutes into the final level of the day when 2008 WCOOP Main Event winner and PokerStars player Carter King was eliminated by Micah Raskin in 105th place.

Raskin's ace-ten held off King's ten-nine of spades after the two got it all in on an eight of spades, six of spades, five of diamonds flop. The turn and river blanked out and Raskin took down the 350,000 pot with ace high.

Notable Day 2 money winners include Shannon Shorr (87th - $8,500), James Van Alstyne (88th - $8,500), Eric Baldwin (89th - $7,500), Adam Junglen (92nd - $7,500), Kristy Gazes (94th - $7,500), Dan Schreiber (102nd - $7,500), Eric Hershler (103rd - $7,500) and Marcello Del Grosso (104th - $7,500).

Team PokerStars Pros Andre Akkari, Joe Cada, Daniel Negreanu, Chris Moneymaker, Del Grosso, Chad Brown and Greg DeBora were all eliminated from play on Day 2.
